Matangi is the outcaste goddess — the one who lives outside the boundary of what is considered pure, acceptable, or proper. She is the wisdom that was deliberately excluded because it was too powerful for the masses to handle.
Every tradition has its forbidden zone — the teachings that were removed, the practices that were banned, the knowledge that was declared heretical. Matangi lives there. She IS there. She is the goddess of everything they told you not to touch.
She is called Ucchishta — the leftover, the polluted, the already-tasted. In a world obsessed with purity, she chooses impurity. Not because she is lesser — because she knows that the division between pure and impure is itself the greatest impurity.
